My deepest condolences go out to the family of my dear friend Ed. Ed was so kind, caring and supportive to those of us who worked with him at the UFT Teacher’s Center in New York City. He was always stable, willing to help and so knowledgeable. He was a great artist and would send hand made cards on various occasions with caricatures that resembled us perfectly. After a long day in the schools we would come to the Union in the late afternoon to work and he would greet us with donuts. He didn’t have to, but he did. I looked forward to that selfless treat that he so often had for us. I know that now Ed is being cared for and being taken care of the way he took care of so many. I find solace in the knowledge that he is at peace. - Carol PLotkin

To the greatest influencer and mentor in my life next to my own dad…and was there for all of us since the day my dad passed.. I could not have wished for or hoped for a better Uncle in this world. I will miss him the rest of my life and keep his voice in my heart and head every time I want to hear him tell a funny story or a part of the Kissane family history as only he could tell it! Thanks Uncle Ed for being one of the best human beings I know- the world and my world just got a bit dimmer… Send my love to Mom and Dad and all the others that I hope you are rejoicing with- we will see you all again one day!!
